Purpose:
Telehealth involves the use of electronic communications to provide psychotherapy services remotely. This may include video conferencing, phone calls, and secure messaging platforms.
Benefits and Risks:
Benefits: Increased accessibility, convenience, continuity of care, and flexible scheduling.
Risks: Potential technology failures, confidentiality breaches, and less personal interaction compared to in-person sessions.
Eligibility and Scope:
Tele-health services are only provided to clients who reside in Tennessee, New Mexico, North Carolina, Florida, Vermont, and Idaho, USA. Services may not be suitable for certain conditions or crises. If telehealth is determined to be inappropriate, alternative care will be discussed.
Confidentiality:
Reasonable efforts will be made to protect your privacy and confidentiality. However, the use of technology comes with inherent risks, such as unauthorized access.
Sessions will be conducted through the TherapyNotes Portal.
You are responsible for ensuring a private and safe space during sessions.
Technology Requirements:
You need:
A stable internet connection.
A device with video/audio capabilities.
Access to the TherapyNotes Portal.
Emergency Protocols:
Telehealth is not suitable for emergencies. In case of an emergency, contact 911/988, or go to the nearest hospital. You will need to provide an emergency contact and your location before starting telehealth sessions.
Billing and Insurance:
Sessions are billed at the same rate as in-person therapy unless otherwise specified.
Bonafide Therapeutic Alliance, LLC does not accept insurance through TherapyNotes at this time but does provide super bills for OON self-pay clients.
However, I work with Headway and Telemynd to provide services to those wishing to use insurance.
Additionally, I work with S.A.F.E. – Soldiers and Families Embraced, providing no cost psychotherapy for military, first responders, and their families.
Voluntary Participation and Right to Withdraw:
Participation in telehealth is voluntary. You may withdraw consent at any time without penalty, and alternative arrangements for in-person care at another practice can be discussed.
